In the article " The Slow Grind" the author talks about skateboarding video games.  Our group decided that the sport we would put in the game would be frisbee golf. How we made our game we took a pizza box and ripped the top of it off. We used the top as a ramp and the point system. The ramp has hazards on it like we put little ponds around it. We also added if you can flick the frisbee in this small spot then you got extra points for that shot. Our point system consists of one through ten for points. The game board had 3 paths on it easy, medium and hard.  When you get to 20 points you can move up closer than your opponent. The rules of the game are: 

1. Each player get a turn where they will slide their "game piece" up the ramp and try to avoid hazards to get as many points possible for that turn.

2. There are 3 types of"game piece" each players can choose from; this will indicate the difficulty between Easy, Medium and Hard.

3. The first goal of the game is to score 20 points which is the midway point. When you reach the midway point you have 2 options first one is that you can change your game piece ( path) or you can just keep the same one to keep extending your lead. 

How does the game End? I'll tell you so, the end goal is that you want to reach 20 points for the midway point to choose a different "game piece" . The second end goal is first person to reach 45 points wins the game.  

The sport frisbee golf is a combination between golf and frisbee. The sport is played on 9 or 18 holes just like golf. Instead of using a golf ball you use a frisbee. You're trying to throw the frisbee in the basket with the smallest amount of throws. It was made in the 1900's by a guy named  Ronald Gibson. The first game was played in 1927 and was located in Canada.  The rules of the game are the same rules that you use in golf.   In the article " The Slow Grind" the author says " I was a skater once but let me be clear: I was not good at it at all." He knew that he wasn't good at it but he still gave it his all. The reason i bring that up is because we wanted our game to be fun and if you were not good to just have fun with it.  (Chapter 5 "The iterative game design process" ) It quotes "Maybe it’s a dream about unicorns jousting with dinosaurs".  What he is trying to say is that this is all part of a 4 part process. The first step is conceptualize this is where you are just trying your ideas for the game in the beginning.  But this quote got my attention because he's right when you are going through this ideas process you can have a unicorn idea. But most of the time your idea's are not going to be good theres always something that we can upgrade to it.
